This title is me making a cross-genre joke: Metallica, and Gustav Holst.
It was pretty unnecessary.
But seriously, Gustav Holst's "The Planets" is probably the best thing to happen to writers who like listening to music and infusing the moods of their tuneskies into the moods of their writings. That is probably at least partly due to the fact that the personalities of Gustav Holst's planets are directly founded on the personalities of the deities they invoke.
The other part is what an awesome composer he is.
Anyway, all of my evil villains, at least, are set to "Mars, the Bringer of War," not uncoincidentally the most heavy metal of the planets. There's something unmitigatedly... profuse about those riffs.
Nonetheless, Jupiter is still my favourite. I don't usually write any characters who are this... flamboyant? But, maybe I ought to, because I can't stop listening to it.
And now... "just leave me alone!" *Air cello!*
